These resources are providing an introduction to pressure ulcers/injuries (PU/PI) in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI), as well as an overview of their prevalence and incidence.
The materials include general guidance, educational tools, and visual resources designed to support understanding of PU/PI, their causes, and key prevention principles. In addition, epidemiological resources highlight the scope and impact of PU/PI in the SCI population, underlining the importance of effective prevention strategies.
These resources are part of the Pressure Injury Recurrence Toolkit – an evidence-based toolkit developed to support healthcare professionals, patients, and informal caregivers in preventing recurrence of pressure injuries in individuals with spinal cord injury. The project is developed in collaboration with Wounds Australia.
