These resources address the legal and ethical aspects of pressure ulcer/injury (PU/PI) prevention and recurrence in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI).
Understanding regulatory frameworks and ethical considerations is essential for ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. These materials explore key topics such as professional responsibility, patient rights, and ethical decision-making in the prevention and management of PU/PI.
The resources are designed to support reflection and awareness among healthcare professionals involved in the care of individuals with SCI.
These resources are part of the Pressure Injury Recurrence Toolkit – an evidence-based toolkit developed to support healthcare professionals, patients, and informal caregivers in preventing recurrence of pressure injuries in individuals with spinal cord injury. The project is developed in collaboration with Wounds Australia.
