Each year, the EWMA Cooperating Organisation’s Board Election and the EWMA Individual Election take place during the spring.
The EWMA Council consists of the Executive Committee (elected from and by the Council) and council members from across Europe, elected either by EWMA individual members or by the Cooperating Organisations Board. Additionally, a representative is elected by our international partners, Wounds Australia and AAWC, US.

Why Join the EWMA Council?
Serving on the EWMA Council is an opportunity to shape the future of wound care in Europe. Council members actively contribute to EWMA’s work and attend three annual meetings: in March, during the annual conference in May, and in October. Additional committee meetings may be required based on your interests.
All Council members serve as Trustees of the EWMA Charity on a voluntary basis, with travel and accommodation costs for meetings covered by EWMA.
