Programme

EWMA-DEWU 2026

Are you a veterinary surgeon or experienced nurse with a passion for wound management? Or are you from the human field and interested to experience what is going on in veterinary wound healing science, or to be inspired from another point of view?

Join the International Conference of the Veterinary Wound Healing Association (VWHA)

at EWMA-DEWU 2026 on 7-8 May 2026

The theme is:

“Practical approach of traumatic wounds in horses and small animals: How to promote healing and reduce antimicrobial resistance”

This year, we focus on the common issues with acute and chronic wounds in our equine and small animal patients. The lectures will be interesting for both equine and small animal veterinarians, because there are many similarities in the approach of wounds in large and small animals. But there are differences between the species and we highlight them as well.

There will be two days packed with lectures on wounds and challenges we all encounter in everyday veterinary practice

Join the Veterinary Wound Healing Association’s conference to learn about the practical approach to optimise wound treatment. Enjoy the programme!
