The EWMA-GNEAUPP conference will be held on 26-28 March 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

Abstracts
Find all abstracts in the online programme or the conference app. You can search for a specific abstract, browse a complete list of all abstracts, or view abstracts by session.
On the website, click “Search & Explore” to access all abstracts from the conference.
In the app, go to “Programme > Abstracts > Speakers” to find them.

Codan Consulting has been appointed as the official hotel accommodation agent for the EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 conference on 26-28 March 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, and will handle all related arrangements.

The EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 conference app is an interactive digital guide designed specifically for the conference. The app is available for download via App Store or Google Play.
Badges
All participants and exhibitors must wear their name badge visibly within the conference venue at all times.
Best Abstract of the year
The scientific committee will choose the winning abstract. The winner will be announced in the closing ceremony.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom and luggage storage are located in the registration area.
The cloakroom is free of charge to use for EWMA participants.
Please note the cloakroom is unable to store any items overnight and that cameras, laptop equipment, or any other electronic devices cannot be stored in the cloakroom at any time.

Once you have filled out the evaluation, you will be able to download the certificates. Your CME certificate will include the CME credits for the days you attended the conference and scanned your badge in the morning and afternoon. A link for download will be provided after completing the evaluation.
If you have presented as an oral or e-Poster presenter or invited speaker during the conference you can download your certificate from April 1st.
Regarding Presentation certificate: If you need help downloading your certificate you are welcome to contact scientific@ewma.org. Please state clearly the ID number, title of your presentation and name of the speaker.
CME Credits and attendance
The EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 Conference, Barcelona, Spain 26/03/2025 – 28/03/2025, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications .
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
To obtain the CME credits, please log your attendance 2 times daily by scanning your badge in the registration area each morning and afternoon (after 14:00 hours). You will receive an email with the instructions for downloading your CME certificate and certificate of attendance at the end of the last conference day.

Entitlements
The EWMA registration fee includes conference bag, daily morning coffee break and afternoon fruit break, abstracts available on conference app, admission to full conference programme including all sessions, certificate of attendance and CME Certificate.
The one-day-exhibition registration gives access to the exhibition only.
E-Posters (Electronic Posters)
All E-Posters are on display during all conference days on touch screens located in the poster area in the exhibition.
E-Posters should be uploaded online before the conference.
Please check the programme for the specific time and screen of each E-Poster session.
First Time International Presenter Prize
This award is designed to encourage people who have not previously presented their work at an international conference.
Novice presenters who have applied for the prize will be evaluated during their presentation and the winner will be announced in the closing ceremony.
General Certificates of attendance
To obtain the CME credits, please log your attendance 2 times daily by scanning your badge in the registration area each morning and afternoon (after 14:00 hours). You will receive an email with the instructions for downloading your CME certificate and certificate of attendance at the end of the last conference day.

Language/Translation
The conference language is English and Spanish.
Live translation from English to Spanish will be provided for selected sessions.
If you would like to listen to the Spanish translation, headsets will be available for collection at the designated distribution points outside the session rooms where translation is offered.
Please remember to bring a valid ID card (not a credit card) to receive a headset.
Lost & Found
Lost & Found items should be handed in at the Registration Desk.
Lunch and Coffee
A coffee break is offered free of charge each morning and a fruit break is offered each afternoon in the refreshment areas in the exhibition hall.
Lunch can be purchased in the 2 cafés (Cafe A & Cafe B) in the exhibition hall.
Spanish association GNEAUPP has chosen to provide a lunch bag for their members on Thursday 27. March.

Mobile Phones

We encourage you to share pictures and experiences from the conference with colleagues – both in person and on social media, but please show consideration for the people in your photographs when you share them.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited during all meetings and sessions and in the exhibition halls at all times. Smoking is permitted only outside the venue.

Parking
Parking is available on walking distance from the Conference venue but not at the actual venue since the CCIB is located in the city centre

The nearby shopping center Diagonal Mar, if you arrive within the times when parking are is open: see schedule here. In this shopping center first 3 hours parking is free of charge.
The other parking option is the nearby parking facility Plaça del Fòrum found here.
Social Events
There is no official conference dinner planned by EWMA during the conference this year
Speakers Preparation room
Please bring your presentation to the Speakers Preparation Room at least 2 hours before your oral presentation.
The Speakers Preparation Room is located on the ground floor in the entrance hall. Please see signs or go to the Overview map for the exact location.

Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive to the conference. We do not allow the use of personal laptops for presentations.
Please bring your presentation to the Speakers Upload Centre at least 3 hours before your oral presentation. Authors of the early morning sessions on Thursday and Friday will be requested to upload their presentation prior to the conference or the day before.
A technician will assist you in transferring the presentation into a central conference server. When the transfer is complete, the technician performs a quick run of the presentation in order for you to check whether the presentation runs correctly, and that the entire presentation is copied.
Your presentation will then be available in the room in which your oral presentation is scheduled.
Sustainability
Sustainability at EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025
In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), EWMA will promote sustainability in several areas of wound care to address today’s major challenges including continued focus on sustainable practices at the conference.
Choice of venue is important. EWMA has carefully selected the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) as the venue for the 35th Conference of the European Wound Management Association, 26–28 March 2025, as the venue is known for its commitment to environmental and social responsibility. Discover how CCIB leads by example in sustainable event management here.

Continued focus on sustainable practices at the conference includes:
- Using a sustainable venue as CCIB is ISO 20121 certified for Sustainable Events Management
- Using 100% renewable energy on-site including energy from on-site wind turbine and solar panels
- Limiting use of air conditioning by fixing cooling temperature setpoint at 25ºC +/- 2ºC
- Working with local suppliers - 92.5% of the venue suppliers are local
- Phasing out the physical programme book - will be replaced by conference app
- Pocket programme is printed on FSC-certified paper
- Using electronic posters only
- Limiting paper handouts by providing QR codes to EWMA documents and publications
- Delegate badges only printed on demand
- Delegate badges are made from recycled paper - no plastic sleeves used
- Lanyards used for delegate badges are recycled
- No distribution of leaflets and flyers in conference bags
- Promoting recycling and ensuring proper waste management
- Using electronic, cardboard or pre-existing signage where possible
- No aisle carpets in the exhibition area
- Using reusable/recyclable carpets in the few carpeted areas
- Using reusable, recyclable and biodegradable materials in catering outlets
- Encouraging participants to use water refill stations to avoid plastic bottles
- Encouraging participants to use public transportation
- Offering free student day access to facilitate the involvement of new generations with few means in the conference.

Transport to CCIB and in Barcelona
To reach CCIB (Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona), it is recommended to use public transport, as there are no parking facilities at the venue. You can find specific public transport information on CCIB’s website. Scroll down to the section How to get to the CCIB.
To easily navigate around Barcelona, we recommend downloading the free Citymapper app. This app guides you from A to B in the city and provides real-time updates for various transport options, including metro, bus, train, tram, taxi, bike, and walking routes.
