The EWMA-GNEAUPP conference will be held on 26-28 March 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

All participants and exhibitors must wear their name badge visibly within the conference venue at all times..
Best Abstract of the year
The scientific committee will choose the winning abstract. The winner will be announced in the closing ceremony.
CME Credits and attendance
The EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 Conference, Barcelona, Spain 26/03/2025 – 28/03/2025, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications .
Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
To obtain the CME credits, please log your attendance 2 times daily by scanning your badge in the registration area each morning and afternoon (after 14:00 hours). You will receive an email with the instructions for downloading your CME certificate and certificate of attendance at the end of the last conference day.

Entitlements
The EWMA registration fee includes conference bag, daily morning coffee break and afternoon fruit break, abstracts available on conference app, admission to full conference programme including all sessions, certificate of attendance and CME Certificate.
The one-day-exhibition registration gives access to the exhibition only.
E-Posters (Electronics Posters)
All E-Posters are on display during all conference days on touch screens located in the poster area in the exhibition.
E-Posters should be uploaded online before the conference.
Please check the programme for the specific time and screen of each E-Poster session.
First Time International Presenter Prize
This award is designed to encourage people who have not previously presented their work at an international conference.
Novice presenters who have applied for the prize will be evaluated during their presentation and the winner will be announced in the closing ceremony.

Lunch and Coffee
A coffee break is offered free of charge each morning and a fruit break is offered each afternoon in the refreshment areas in the exhibition hall.
Lunch can be purchased in the 2 cafés (Cafe A & Cafe B) in the exhibition hall.

Mobile Phones
All mobile phones must be on silent mode during the sessions.
We encourage you to share pictures and experiences from the conference with colleagues – both in person and on social media, but please show consideration for the people in your photographs when you share them.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited during all meetings and sessions and in the exhibition halls at all times. Smoking is permitted only outside the venue.
Social Events
There is no official conference dinner planned by EWMA during the conference this year
Sustainability
Sustainability at EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025
In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), EWMA will promote sustainability in several areas of wound care to address today’s major challenges including continued focus on sustainable practices at the conference.
Choice of venue is important. EWMA has carefully selected the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) as the venue for the 35th Conference of the European Wound Management Association, 26–28 March 2025, as the venue is known for its commitment to environmental and social responsibility. Discover how CCIB leads by example in sustainable event management here.

Continued focus on sustainable practices at the conference includes:
- Using a sustainable venue as CCIB is ISO 20121 certified for Sustainable Events Management
- Using 100% renewable energy on-site including energy from on-site wind turbine and solar panels
- Limiting use of air conditioning by fixing cooling temperature setpoint at 25ºC +/- 2ºC
- Working with local suppliers - 92.5% of the venue suppliers are local
- Phasing out the physical programme book - will be replaced by conference app
- Pocket programme is printed on FSC-certified paper
- Using electronic posters only
- Limiting paper handouts by providing QR codes to EWMA documents and publications
- Delegate badges only printed on demand
- Delegate badges are made from recycled paper - no plastic sleeves used
- Lanyards used for delegate badges are recycled
- No distribution of leaflets and flyers in conference bags
- Promoting recycling and ensuring proper waste management
- Using electronic, cardboard or pre-existing signage where possible
- No aisle carpets in the exhibition area
- Using reusable/recyclable carpets in the few carpeted areas
- Using reusable, recyclable and biodegradable materials in catering outlets
- Encouraging participants to use water refill stations to avoid plastic bottles
- Encouraging participants to use public transportation
- Offering free student day access to facilitate the involvement of new generations with few means in the conference.
