EWMA Innovation Competition

The annual EWMA Innovation Competition aims to support startups and spinouts within wound healing (therapeutics, medtech, diagnostics, AI, service providers etc), helping them bring their solutions to market for the benefit of patients.

The objectives of the competition are to:

  • Highlight innovative tech-enabled solutions with the potential to dramatically increase the quality and effectiveness of wound care.
  • Demonstrate scalable models that improve the quality of wound care for the patients.
  • Generate valuable, distributable insights that can be broadly applied beyond the participating organisations.

We envision these solutions to be practical and implementable on at least a pilot basis within 0–3 years. We are seeking approaches that have the potential to improve the quality of wound care while lowering the cost and complexity of providing services to patients.

Who can participate?

  • European start-ups established in 2019 or later
  • European companies nearing their first market entry
  • Previous contestants with significant developments in their business case
  • Non-European companies within the above categories wishing to enter European market

NB!
Participants must be present for a pitch presentation at EWMA Innovation Forum 2025, 27 March 2025, Barcelona, Spain. Hence, participants must be registered for EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 (Full 3 day conference registration incl. Innovation Forum).
