The EWMA General Practitioners (GP) Network has developed new, easy-to-understand educational materials to support patients living with leg ulcers and their families. The resources explain what a leg ulcer is, the different types (venous, arterial, mixed and atypical), common symptoms and possible complications. They also provide clear information on diagnosis and both general and local treatment options – including pain management, wound care, compression therapy and lifestyle advice.

Designed to empower patients and promote early, appropriate care, these materials help improve understanding, support shared decision-making and ultimately contribute to better healing outcomes.
