About the course
  • This EWMA e-learning course provides a comprehensive deep dive into atypical wounds – diagnostic criteria and tools,  current treatment options and practical hints for healthcare professionals in managing this type of wounds.
  • The target group are all healthcare professionals treating wounds.
  • After you have completed the course you can receive a certificate that documents 11 hours for continuing professional development or/and 11 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
  • The course is free of charge. If you would like to receive a certificate of completion and/or a CME certificate, you would need to pay a fee of 15 EUR for the certificate of completion and 25 EUR for the CME certificate.

 

Course structure

The course consists of 9 modules:

  • Module 1: Introduction to atypical wounds
  • Module 2: Pyoderma gangrenosum
  • Module 3: Vasculitides and occlusive vasculopathy
  • Module 4: Martorell HYTILU and calciphylaxis
  • Module 5: Hidradenitis suppurativa and artefactal ulcers
  • Module 6: Malignant wounds
  • Module 7: Ecthyma and ecthyma gangrenosum and other types of atypical wounds
  • Module 8: Topical treatment for atypical wounds
  • Module 9: Clinical cases
