Early bird registration ends 19 March 2026.
This year, we have further advanced the Compression Therapy Masterclass to allow even more time for practical, hands-on learning. The course is now offered as a 2-day masterclass: one self-paced online day with focused lectures, e-learning and readings, followed by an intensive in-person day dedicated to workshops, case discussions and expert-led clinical practice.
The self-paced online day provides updated, evidence-based teaching through five focused, pre-recorded lectures, an EWMA compression e-learning course with quizzes and a tailored reading list. Together, these cover advanced topics such as compression system selection, special and complex cases, clinical pitfalls and learning points, inflammatory responses to compression, and the role of ankle function and gait in optimising venous return.
The in-person masterclass day focuses on:
Hands-on compression workshops using a range of systems and materials
Practical vascular assessment and interpretation in relation to compression
Advanced hosiery selection and use in complex clinical scenarios
Discussion of challenging real-life cases, including “out-of-the-box” uses of compression
Throughout the course, participants practise compression techniques and clinical reasoning in a supervised environment, enhancing their ability to integrate advanced compression therapy safely and effectively into everyday wound care management.
Target audience
Clinicians who already use compression therapy in their daily practice and seek a deeper understanding of material properties, pressure profiles, and clinical application to enhance more advanced treatment options, adaptations and patient tolerance.
At registration, participants must confirm that they use compression therapy in daily practice.
Entry level
Participants are expected to assess patients for compression therapy, be able to utilise a range of compression, and review outcomes of their interventions.
The new format requires 1 day of personal time in which to watch pre-recorded lectures and reading of suggested material.
