Through several new initiatives, EWMA is reaching out to the younger generation of wound care professionals (interdisciplinary) who are actively involved in research or other activities aiming at improving wound management in their country. Are you passionate about making a sustainable and meaningful impact in wound care? Are you in the early stages of your career and eager to connect with colleagues to collaborate and learn from each other? Perhaps you are a future leader in wound care!
Interdisciplinary collaboration and research are essential for advancing wound care. Whether you work in a clinical setting or a research environment (as a PhD student, postdoctoral researcher, or independent researcher), engaging with enthusiastic colleagues across disciplines strengthens the field. Connecting with passionate professionals from across Europe leads to innovation. Do you want to be part of this journey?
We are excited to invite you to a meeting held at the EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025 Conference, held 26-28 March 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, where we will introduce two new initiatives for the future generation of wound care:
1. The EWMA NextGen Programme, which is ‘future leadership in wound care’ programme which will open for applications in Spring 2025.
2. The European Young Wound Experts Group, which is a network initiative that aims to support collaboration among young wound experts, with the objective to drive innovation and improved wound management across Europe.
The meeting objective is to kick-start these initiatives and create a basis for future collaboration. The meeting will therefore also include an interactive session offering a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share your experiences, and discuss key challenges and future visions for wound management.
The meeting will be concluded with a social get-together.
