PI Recurrence: Spinal cord injury and pressure ulcers

About

This resource is part of a comprehensive, evidence-based toolkit designed to support the prevention of pressure ulcers (PU) and pressure injuries (PI) and reduce recurrence in people living with spinal cord injury (SCI).
The toolkit is developed in collaboration with Wound Australia by international experts and provides practical guidance, tools and educational materials applicable across the entire patient pathway.

This poster raises awareness of the high lifetime risk and recurrence of pressure ulcers in people living with spinal cord injury (SCI). It outlines key risk factors and emphasises the importance of prevention through risk assessment, pressure redistribution and education to reduce recurrence and improve long-term outcomes.
