Programme

EWMA-GNEAUPP 2025

Session types

E-poster sessions consist of abstracts accepted for e-poster presentation. Each presenter has 3 minutes for a short presentation of the key points of the e-poster. The sessions take place in the e-poster area in the exhibition.

All e-posters except for abstracts accepted for Case studies or Professional communication can be included in an e-poster session.

A focus session is an opportunity to go into depth with a topic. The focus sessions take place in a smaller setting and typically have 1-2 speakers.

Free paper sessions consist of abstracts submitted and accepted for oral presentation. Each presenter has 8 min presentation followed by 2 min Q&A.

A number of organisations are invited to organise a guest session. This serves to increase scientific cooperation and networking with organisations active in thematic issues related to wound healing and management.

The programme will feature a mixture of new topics, which are important to the European wound community, in addition to topics that have been popular during previous EWMA conferences. The sessions will deal with advancement of education and research in relation to epidemiology, pathology, diagnosis, prevention and management of wounds.

1-2 of EWMA’s International Partners organises a session at the annual conference to increase collaboration and networking with partners active in thematic issues related to wound healing and management.

Join us in Barcelona one day before the conference and participate in one of the EWMA Masterclasses.

A satellite symposium is a session organised by the industry, usually by a company which also sponsors or exhibits at the conference.

The EWMA streams presents a number of sessions within the same topic.

The workshops are typically held in a smaller setting than key sessions, focus sessions and free paper sessions. EWMA workshops are interactive and give participants an opportunity to address and elaborate on particular aspects of the themes of the individual sessions.
