The Mexican Association for Wound Care and Healing (AMCICHAC), a proud international partner of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), is delighted to announce the 20th edition of its International Meeting, taking place in 2026 in the vibrant city of Mexico City.
This annual event is one of the most recognized wound care congresses in Latin America, bringing together over 1,000 professionals, including clinicians, researchers, educators, and industry leaders from various countries. While the primary language of the congress is Spanish, many of the sessions are delivered in English by internationally recognized speakers, making the meeting partially bilingual and accessible to a global audience.
A highlight of each edition is the invitation of guest countries and institutions. In 2026, AMCICHAC will be honored to welcome invited experts from Spain, Chile, Bahrain, and other countries. Of special note, the GNEAUPP (Grupo Nacional para el Estudio y Asesoramiento en Úlceras por Presión y Heridas Crónicas) will be featured as a special guest and invited association, contributing to the scientific and collaborative spirit of the event.
Under the leadership of Dr. Eugenio Rodríguez, current President of The Mexican Association for Wound Care and Healing, the association continues to elevate standards in wound care education and practice.
Dr. Martha Zavala is the chair of the Scientific Programme for the 2025 and 2026 editions. Her work has been instrumental in curating a high-quality, diverse, and internationally relevant scientific agenda that reflects the evolving challenges and innovations in wound care.
Among the association’s key contributors to international collaboration is Dr. Damian Palafox, who serves as AMCICHAC’s official representative to the EWMA. Dr. Palafox is a Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, a recognized scientific researcher, an active member of the EWMA, and a peer reviewer for the Journal of Wound Management.
AMCICHAC looks forward to welcoming the international wound care community to Mexico City in 2026 to celebrate 20 years of continued dedication to advancing wound care through science, education, and collaboration.
Early registration fee valid until 27th of October.
