Professor Amit Gefen is a Full Professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tel Aviv University and the Berman Chair in Vascular Bioengineering. His research interests are in studying effects of biomechanical factors on structure and function of cells, tissues and organs, with emphasis on applications in wound research. He published more than 300 journal articles and multiple books on cell and tissue mechanobiology with applications in wound care.
