Leg Oedema Management
Development of a practical guide for diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of leg oedema.
This document aims to expand on existing treatment by reflecting the clinical reality in different countries. It serves as a practical guide for accurate diagnosis, effective treatment options—including compression therapy—and ongoing management. Building on the well-received EWMA Document Lower Leg Ulcer Diagnosis and Principles of Treatment from 2023, it provides a comprehensive approach to improving patient care.
This document is developed as an initiative of EWMA and the International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF). EWMA and ILF thank Lymphoedema United founder Matt Hazledine for his collaboration on the document.
