The annual EWMA Conference gathers thousands of healthcare practitioners, researchers, organisations and industry representatives who will meet to exchange knowledge on the latest developments in wound care.
In 2024 the conference will take place in London, UK, on 1-3 May. Attendants will have access to more than +200 scientific sessions, +150 wound management companies, and will be a part of a conference with +90 countries represented.

The EWMA 2024 programme features a mixture of topics important to the wound community. There will be key sessions, focus sessions, free paper sessions, guest sessions, workshops, and meet-the-expert sessions.
The EWMA Scientific Committee is responsible for the organisation and planning of the scientific conferences of EWMA. The scientific recorder is head of the committee.
In 2023, Andrea Pokorná was elected for this role. Related to her role, she states:
“I look forward to taking the lead on the planning of the scientific programme of the EWMA conferences for the next 2 conferences and aim to ensure that the newest updates, relevant research presented by the key opinion leaders in the field and hands-on skills are available for all the attendees.
I also hope to encourage informal sharing of knowledge and experience during the conference to contribute to higher quality wound care with reflection on the most important challenges for healthcare and society in the 21st century.”
