JWM Special Issue November 2023
CALL FOR PAPERS
Journal of Wound Management Special Issue 2023
Compression Therapy in Wound Care
Guest Editors: Kirsi Isoherranen (Finland), Sebastian Probst (Switzerland), Elena Conde Montero (Spain), Valentina Dini (Italy)
In 2023, the Journal of Wound Management (JoWM) will publish a special issue focusing on compression therapy in wound care.
There is substantial evidence to support the use of compression therapy in lower leg ulcers, but still there are many gaps that prevent the efficacious use of compression. The effect of compression therapy is multifunctional and new compression methods emerge and provide benefit for the patients.
The purpose of this special issue is to provide a collection of scientific articles on compression therapy providing new insights of for example technology development, barriers and facilitators of applying compression, adherence to therapy, patient/family or professional experiences that are of high interest to the international readership.
We welcome submissions for this special issue on compression therapy of the highest scientific quality and relevance to clinicians, patients and their caregivers, researchers, industry, educators, and policy makers.
Research papers reporting basic research, clinical trials, instrument development and validation, quality improvement projects, reviews, educational interventions and case reports with novelty are welcome.
Authors are encouraged to contact one of the guest editors prior to submission if they wish to discuss whether their work is appropriate for the special issue.
All papers will be subject to peer review.
The special issue will be published in November 2023 by the Journal of Wound Management.
