Living with Skin Frailty & Skin Tears

This project is a joint partnership between ISTAP and EWMA and highlights the real-life experience of patients and healthcare professionals in relation to skin frailty and skin tears.

This project is a joint partnership between International Skin Tears Advisory Panel (ISTAP) and EWMA and represents a campaign to highlight the real-life experience of patients and healthcare professionals in relation to skin frailty and skin tears.

The campaign is centred on the design and elaboration of a suite of digital resources to be used for educational purposes. It aims to raise awareness and support selfcare.

The target audience for this project include healthcare professionals as well as patients and the general public.

This initiative develops educational materials on skin frailty and skin tears, sharing real-life insights from patients and healthcare professionals to improve outcomes across care settings.

The expected project outcomes are:

  • The development of two “vox pop” videos to engage and inform the public of the impact and (limited) knowledge regarding skin frailty and skin tears.

  • Interviews with patients and healthcare workers to inform the public regarding the impact, knowledge and possible actions related to skin frailty and skin tears.

  • The development of FAQ videos to answer frequent questions regarding skin frailty and skin tears.

The resources of the project will be created and edited by the digital content creator companies Mole Digital and Yudai.

The campaign will be shared on the websites and social media channels of ISTAP, EWMA and the industry sponsors.
