Through this initiative, EWMA aims to strengthen patient involvement across all projects and activities. By doing so, we ensure that resources developed for healthcare professionals, patients, and private caregivers truly reflect the lived experience and needs of individuals affected by wounds.
As part of EWMA Patients Voice, participating patients may be invited to:
- Review EWMA publications and educational materials for professionals or patients
- Join project groups working on advocacy or awareness campaigns
- Contribute to discussions within the EWMA Council and committees, bringing the patient voice to the forefront
Currently, the Patient Liaison Group is forming a pilot group of patients to provide early feedback ahead of the full public launch of the initiative in 2026.
