New article from the joint EPUAP & EWMA Pressure Ulcer prevention & patient safety advocacy project focusses on the increasing attention toward the issues of healthcare evaluation. One factor that has been identified as central for improving the quality of evaluation is the use of data to measure performance.

The new article Pressure ulcer monitoring: a process of evidence-based practice, data sharing and joint efforts investigates methologies for measuring prevalence of pressure ulcers and addressing the lack of a uniform methodology in Europe for collecting the necessary data that would sufficiently help monitor patients with this condition.
