This issue of the EWMA Journal is a special issue on Pressure Ulcers. The scientific contributions of this edition provide new knowledge that can be integrated into care bundles:

1) A cross-sectional study establishing the prevalence of PU, moisture-associated skin damage and skin tears in paediatric hospital units in Spain. 2) A survey from Canada illustrating the wound prevalence in long-term care facilities. 3) A paper from Israel providing insight into the future of PU prevention, addressing how we can detect and target inflammation early. 4) An article from the joint EWMA and EPUAP initiative on PUs and patient safety and finally, 5) an article illustrating the EWMA education module and a course endorsement about prevention and management of pressure ulcers.
