The title of this issue "On the road to better patient safety", reflects the theme  for the EWMA 2016 conference in Bremen  - Patients*Wounds*Rights. In the new issue of the EWMA Journal, we focus on this theme in an in-depth article describing the development and Benefits of 10 year´s experience with an electronic Pressure Ulcers Monitoring Tool as well as two extended abstracts about correct identification and verification of pressure ulcers.

The EWMA section includes several articles about EWMA’s past and future conference activities and furthermore goes into depth with interviews and articles describing EWMA’s ongoing project activities.
