EWMA at the Wound Meeting 2024 Seoul!

22-23 March was the long-awaited return of The Wound Meeting Seoul, which has been temporarily on hold for the last few years due to COVID-19. The Wound Meeting serves as a platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research and the advancement of wound care practices, and this year, EWMA President, MD, PhD Kirsi Isoherranen was there representing the European Wound Management Association. She states:

“We are honored to be here at the Wound Meeting 2024 in Seoul contributing with our knowledge and perspectives on today’s global and regional challenges and opportunities in the wound management field. International partnerships and collaboration are cornerstones of EWMA, and we highly value our good relationship with the Korean Wound Management Society and its members.

We always see a strong number of high-quality abstracts submitted by persons with association to the Korean Wound Management Society for the annual EWMA conferences, and EWMA 2024 Conference in London will be no exception.”

Young Joon Jun, MD, PhD, MBA, and President of the Korean Wound Management Society also emphasizes the importance of continuous cooperation:

“I believe the collaboration between KWMS and EWMA will lay the foundation for both organizations to become truly global wound care associations by understanding intercontinental wound care trends. It is anticipated that KWMS and EWMA can develop definitive guidelines for wound care through their continuous cooperation.Given the chance, it would also be a great opportunity to create an Asian or Korean session within KWMS, encompassing interests from the Asian region.

The Wound Meeting 2024 is expected to serve as a gateway for dialogue between Asia and Europe, representing a scholarly conference for both regions. I believe it is essential to maintain a progressive relationship moving forward. Thank you.”
