FeelTect wins the EWMA Innovation Award 2023

Irish startup company FeelTect wins prize of 10,000 EUR

After two days of discussion and pitching at EWMA Innovation Forum on 4 – 5 May 2023 in Milan, the Irish startup company FeelTect won the 10,000 EUR award for their solution Tight Alright.

Tight Alright is the first connected-health technology for measuring and monitoring sub-bandage pressure during compression therapy, primarily for the millions of people world-wide with venous leg ulcers. The Tight Alright technology is comprised of a wearable device with multiple pressure sensors that wirelessly connects with a digital platform, enabling significant improvements in the application, maintenance, and self-management of compression therapy.

By facilitating the consistent provision of gold-standard compression therapy, Tight Alright will significantly reduce healing times and treatment costs, whilst enhancing quality of life for patients.

CEO and founder of FeelTect, Dr. Andrew Cameron, expressed his gratitude for winning the prize:

"We are delighted and grateful to win first prize at the EWMA Innovation Forum, especially given the high calibre of entrants in this year’s competition. As an emerging connected-health startup, we are constantly striving for validation of our clinical need and proposed solution, so winning this competition provides invaluable support for our ambitions to improve venous leg ulcer treatment. We thank the sponsors, judges, and EWMA Innovation Forum organisers for the opportunity to take part in this amazing event, it will undoubtedly benefit our Tight Alright technology’s path to market."
