Objectives

This session will:

  • Examine the issue that arise in Surgical Site Infection Trials and how they can be overcome
  • Explore the lessons that have been learned from surgical site infection trials can be used to inform guidelines and patient care
  • Demonstrate how the evidence from surgical site infection trials can be used to supported the implementation of evidence based practice in different contexts
