EWMA masterclass 2021 on Atypical Wounds

In 2021, the EWMA Masterclass will be dedicated to Atypical Wounds with a special focus on small vessel pathology, including Martorell Hypertensive ulcer and calciphylaxis and occlusive vasculopathies. This masterclass will provide a comprehensive deep dive into atypical wounds. It will also touch upon practical advice on some of the challenges that typically arise when diagnosing and treating these types of wounds.

The masterclass takes place on 13 April 2021 in Paris one day ahead of the EWMA 2021 conference. Please notice, that the masterclass in not an integrated part of the EWMA 2021 conference programme and requires separate registration at the cost of EUR 114 incl. 20% VAT. 

  • Course capacity: 35 participants
  • Course participants will get CME Credits for attending the course. An application will be made to the UEMS-EACCME® for CME accreditation of this event

The format of this masterclass

EWMA Masterclass is a special education activity which provides a unique chance for interaction between renowned experts and a smaller group of participants. EWMA Masterclass aims at advancing clinical competency in wound management and promoting comprehensive learning. The concept of EWMA masterclass was developed by the EWMA Education Committee, and the first masterclass was organized in 2019 on Oxygen Therapies by Dr. Kirsi Isoherranen and Dr. Jürg Traber.  It attracted a dedicated group of health care practitioners and industry representatives from all over the world in Gothenburg, Sweden.

  • All registered participants for the Masterclass are invited to make an oral presention of a patient case related to the topic of atypical wounds.
  • Participants will be contacted upon their completed registration regarding patient case presentations.
  • Best case presentation is awarded with a free registration for the EWMA 2022 Conference.
