Conference Secretariat

Language
The conference language is English. The Swedish 2-day Stream will be in Swedish.
Badges
All participants should wear their name badge in the conference area at all times. The badge must be visible.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom is located by entrance 2; the main entrance to the EWMA Conference.
Disabled access
The venue is accessible for people using a wheelchair. All session rooms and exhibition areas are located at level 1 and level 2. Parking facilities for disabled are available by the main entrance to the hotel. Lift to level 2 is available in the exhibition area.
Parking
Closest parking spaces for guests arriving by car are located at Focus Parking Garage at Fabriksgatan 45 or by Valhallabadet at Valhallagatan 1.

Sweden is widely regarded as a cashless society with many shops and restaurants now only accepting credit card or mobile payments. Major credit cards (some restriction may apply to American Express) are widely accepted throughout Sweden. There is an ATM at the conference venue located by Entrance 5 at Mässans gata 20.

Print your certificates
You are able to print your CME certificate and certificate of attendance after 14.00h on your last day of attendance.
Emergency & first aid
First aid points are situated at the hotel reception and the conference reception. AED defibrillator is available in the hotel reception and the service center.
Lunch & coffee
Lunch and coffee can be purchased in the cafés and restaurants located throughout the venue.
Lost & found
Found items should be turned in at the reception. If you lose something, please report to the reception desk.
No smoking policy
Smoking is prohibited in all areas inside the venue. Outdoor smoking areas are available.
Electronic Posters(E-POSTERS)
E-Posters are on display on touch screens situated in the Poster area. E-Posters should be uploaded online before the conference. E-Poster sessions are held at the screens placed in the Poster Area. Each e-Poster will be displayed for 3 minutes guided by a chair. Authors are kindly asked to be present and discuss their e-Poster with other participants. Please check programme for specific time and place.
Presenter Awards
EWMA First Time International Presenter Prize: This award is designed to encourage people who have not previously presented their work at an international conference. To be eligible for this prize you must have submitted your abstract to EWMA and be a novice presenter. The value of the prize is 450 EURO.
E-poster Prizes
The e-Poster Prizes are designed to reward the considerable work that goes into preparing an e-Poster for presentation. To be eligible for consideration you must have a paper accepted for e-Poster presentation at the EWMA 2019 Conference. A panel of judges will attend the e-Poster sessions, and authors are strongly encouraged to be present at these sessions in order to answer questions concerning their work. The panel will award 3 e-Poster prizes. The value of each e-Poster prize is 200 EURO. Your accepted e-Poster will automatically be considered for this award, provided that it has not previously been submitted elsewhere (all categories except Case Studies and Professional Communication).
