Professor Carolina Weller is research director of the Wound Research Program at Monash University and a Wounds Australia Fellow. Carolina investigates novel and innovative healing outcomes in people with chronic wounds and works with patients and clinicians to improve chronic wound prevention. In addition to her clinical qualifications in nursing and extensive contributions to epidemiology, health policy and research, she is one of Australia’s leading clinical researchers with a focus on cardiovascular wound management clinical trials and uses implementation science techniques to optimize translation of research into clinical practice. She is recognised internationally for her epidemiological and health service multidisciplinary research approaches.
