EWMA Conference 2018

Wound centre endorsements

In autumn of 2015, EWMA carried out two pilot endorsements of wounds centres in China and Brazil.

Based on these experiences, EWMA is now working toward developing an international wound centre endorsement programme in collaboration with its cooperating organisations in Europe.

The EWMA Wound centre endorsement programme aims to support the establishment of European and international collaboration and knowledge sharing about the development and maintenance of high quality wound centres.

The endorsement process focus, among other things, on the centre’s access to a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, referral routes and evidence based wound management.

EWMA expects to have a final endorsement programme ready before the EWMA 2017 conference in Amsterdam in May, during which initial educationan and networking activities will take place.
