Stop Pressure Ulcers Day
In autumn of 2015, EWMA carried out two pilot endorsements of wounds centres in China and Brazil.
Based on these experiences, EWMA is now working toward developing a European/international wound centre endorsement programme in collaboration with its cooperating organisations in Europe.
The EWMA Wound centre endorsement programme aims to support the establishment of European and international collaboration and knowledge sharing about the development and maintenance of high quality wound centres.
The endorsement process focus, among other things, on the centre’s access to a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, referral routes and evidence based wound management.
The endorsement programme is expected to be officially started in the Summer 2018.
EWMA plans to offer the firs course for centre auditors during the EWMA 2018 Conference in Krakow, Poland.
