EWMA Vienna Conference 2012
The 22nd EWMA conference took place in Vienna and was organised in cooperation with Die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Wundbehandlung AWA (Austrian Wound Association).
More than 2900 participants including exhibitors from 67 countries attended the conference from 23-25 May 2012. This is the highest number of attendees in the history of EWMA Conferences. Among the participants there were 42 representatives from national wound management societies as well as a high number of European key opinion leaders and senior executives from industry.
This year’s conference also had the biggest exhibition ever which offered an excellent mix of wound management professionals. The variety of participants and the fact that most of the key players within the field of wound care always participate in the EWMA Conferences resulted in a unique opportunity for networking.
The scientific programme consisted of a mixture of key sessions, workshops, free papers sessions and satellite symposia and the theme this year was "Wound Healing – Different Perspectives, One Goal". With 788 presentations, it is fair to say that the conference was a great success both clinically and academically.
The next EWMA conference will take place 15th - 17th May 2013 in Copenhagen. For further information, please visit www.ewma2013.org.
