I was born in Zagreb October 1954. where ended the elementary and secondary school, and graduated on Medical school University of Zagreb 1979. In the period 1981 till 1985 I was employed as the physician in General Practice. 1985 I started the specialization of general surgery in GH “Sveti Duh” in Zagreb, where I am still employed. Throughout specialization I finished the postgraduate study ultrasounds in the clinic medicine, and after the end of specialization have won a master's degree.
The examinations from general surgerie I laid down in 1989. Directly after this I have been positioned on the casualty ward of surgical clinic. Since 1997 I have been a head of the newly established department for plastic and reconstructive surgery.
From 1999 to 2001 have been on the post graduated study from plastic surgery and after examination acquired the title specialist of plastic surgery. The same year I’ve acquired title head doctor. I’m one of the founders of Croatian Wound Association (CWA) which was establish in January 2007, and from beginning vice president of CWA. Last ten years I was involved in chronic wound treatment, prevention and education. In mean time I developed databases for follow-up patients with chronic wounds, and software for automatic wound tissue classification in chronic wound – WITA with capability to propose therapy for the analyzed wound.
I am an author or the coauthor of 50 articles, published in Journals and the active participant on congresses with the international participation in the country and abroad published about 60 articles.
Actively I’ve participated as the lecturer on postgraduate courses of first
category on Medical school in Zagreb as well as in the education of students on the surgical clinic.
